The work of Huba de Graaff celebrates the unheard: whether it’s the singing of monkeys, the moans of eroticism or the tired sighs of an officer after acts of genocide. Huba has studied sonology and tape composition with Gilius van Bergeyk and Dick Raaijmakers, making her one of the original voices in Dutch electronic music. Her work always starts at listening to unheard sounds, voices and spaces next to us. Huba’s residency will be closed off with a studio symposium on Listening as a compositional tool.
