Aafke Romeijn has been invited by Het Concreet to do a residency in the analog studio of Het Concreet. On October 8, Het Concreet will host a symposium on The studio as a compositional tool, focussing on Brian Eno’s 1979 lecture in which he explores the idea of the studio as a refuge for experiment. Aafke Romeijn is the absolute uncrowned queen of dutch elektropop. Her albums sway around melodic synths, catchy tunes and crystal-clear lyrics. Think Spinvis (NL) meets Daft Punk meets Peaches and Aafke shows up somewhere in the middle.
